The Sacred Bond of Marriage

The marriage bond is sacred. Regardless of the ups and downs, fighting for your marriage is a given. Whether you fight back-to-back, together, against the world or fight against each other, the choice is yours—strengthen or weaken the bond. Our resolve was tested, and we overcame; unfortunately, some people don’t. 

We had problems with not valuing each other, having faith in God for helping us with our disagreements, and protecting ourselves and not each other, to name a few. Through our hurt and pain, we find strength in the scriptures. God’s Word refocused us on working with instead of against each other.

By covering each other’s weaknesses, it made us stronger. Defending our marriage took honoring each other, having faith in God, and loving each other through our faults. Ultimately, standing back-to-back with God’s promises in hand, we knew that fighting for our marriage was the only option.
